Week 2: This week after watching the videos and reading chapter 1,2, and 3 I can say that I have gained alot of insight into the role that technology plays in our daily lives. I loved watching the videos, the video that I loved the most was ''Growing Up Online'' I was able to relate to alot of the things that were discussed in the video. I often sometimes get distracted by being online and I am very terrible at multitasking, althought its something that I try to continuce to work out. This weeks readings were also interesting I loved the concept of Behaviorism and how it is defined as learning is a set of changes in human behavior, I agree with this statement because everything we have learned has been taught to us and and that learning is a process of memorizing, demostrating and imitating.
Is it a good idea to require students to have labtops in the classroom on the elementary and middle school level?
Is their a such thing as being able to successfully multi-task?
Can our brains successful do to things as once effectively?
I totally agree with you, and not being able to multi-task online. Sometimes you just get caught up with one thing it makes you lose track of other things and time.
ReplyDeleteTo answer your first question, i think it is. At this point in the educational aspect, technology is very important and that is what makes students what they are. After all this is Generation M, and it will only become more advanced as the years move on. If this technology is what they will see, they should be able to learn that and school.
