1. Nets for Teachers and Students are addressed when you are using digital games because it allows you to interact with your students using technology that will help them in there learning as well as make you a better teacher. I think that technology can sometimes be a distraction if the games are not geared towards the students learning.
2. In my classroom I plan to use many games like this to have my students practice what they have learned. I would assign my students math games for example or spelling games to see how much they have learned. From my understanding not alot of games passed state and national standards to all the games that are out on the market.

New week : )
In chapter 7 titled problem solving and inquiry learning with software and web tool. I really enjoyed this chapter I found this chapter to be one of the most informative. On page 176 of the text it discusses how problem solving and inquiry learning begin with real world situations and issues to actively engage students. I couldnt agree with this concept more because students learn best when they learn things that can be applied to there everyday life. I think this could also be applied in the way I implement technology in my classroom. The beauty of technology is the range of ideas and concepts the teacher uses to the teach the class. For example, In my classroom I might do a webquest or powerpoint on a topic my students can most relate to on a personal level. I really enjoyed reading about the types of standard software some of the application prior to reading I did not know and others I use on a daily basis. Overall I thought this chapter was very helpful and informative.
Questions for the class
Do you feel center software applications are better than others?
What is your favorite software application and why?
Do you believe a teacher can be effective if he or she does not have extension knowledge of most software applications?

Week 6
Hello! my fellow class mates I hope everyone had a great weekend. I really found chapter 6 to be very informative like I have stated in previous posts Im not to big on technology so I found this chapter to be very insighful. In chapter 6 of the text it discusses the use of educational tools that you can use via online that could help you better teach you students. In reading the chapter I came across some tools that I know I would want to use to be an effective teacher. The first one is educational websites I think educational websites are a great way for the students to stay ingaged as well as learn something informative in the process. Educational sites are a great way to help the teacher in the lesson planning process, some sites can be a guide into the lesson are the ending to a lesson. I think interactive videoconferencing is another great way to keep the students interest I think videoconferencing would be more effective to use in higher the higher grades or secondary level by maybe having a guest speaking etc. I also loved reading this chapter because it told the reader how to use the bookmark and favorites tools to name a few, I thought that was extremely helpful expecially to individuals that are beginning in there technology journey.
Question:
What is your favorite educational website?
Do you think educational websites are helpful to students?
Do you think you will implement educational website as a method to teach your class.

Week 5
My favorite part of reading chapter 4 in the text was the author discussing the participation gap. This was my favorite part section because it is a reality that not all kids have access to technolgy at home, often times these are lower income students. I was one of those students I did not recieve a laptop until my senior of college for a graduation present and growing up compuers and software were never acessible to me but that didnt mean that I didnt have a hunger for knowledge and most of my teachers made it there task to see that I was fully knowledge on the lesson and some teachers that didnt care about me lesson anything but my will and desire never changed. We now live in a generation that is greatly inpacted by technology much more than when I was a child and as time goes on technology continues to advance.
Does you think the participation gap is a huge problem in are education system today?
Do you think it is neccessary for every child to have a computer either at school or at home?

Week 4
Hello my fellow classmates!, I hope everyone had a great weekend
In this weeks reading of chapter four my favorite part of the reading was then the author discussed the stages of technology integration. I found this section to be the most interesting because I can relate to every one of the stages. In taking this course has helped and will continue to help me learn new and exciting ways that I can implement technology into my classroom. I am learning so much already for someone that was born in a technnology advanced world compared to many of my freinds i am not technologically advanced to say the least but I no the basics. I also found it to be interesting because I can remember when I was younger I thought my teachers knew everything and now as I have grown and matured I realize we as a people are always learning and their is always something to be taught. Growing up none of my teachers accept for one used any form of technology based learning approaches in reading this chapter I know have many insights into why many of my teachers choose not to. I also found it interesting how it discusses how many teachers are reluctant to incorporate technology into their classroom expecially when teaching new lessons. As someone that is not as advanced in technology as my peers prior to taking this course if I was put into a classroom I would also be reluctant, often times we are nervous or scared of change expecially when we are not fully trained on the task but I want to be a teacher that embraces change not shy away. I believe students can benefit from many leaning styles I feel the more the better.
Questions:
How would you rate your level of computer skills?
When you become a teacher do you plan to incorporate technology as part of lesson plans?
Do you think believe that teachers who are not technologically advanced are as good as teachers who arent and why?
